For fans of the Roots, their annual summer concert series has been a highlight. Today, the house band for  Late Night With Jimmy Fallon officially announced the lineup for its sixth annual “Roots Picnic,” including performers Naughty By Nature and a handful of buzzing acts like Joey BadA$$ and Trinidad Jame$

Over the past five years the band has thrown the event in their original home base of Philadelphia, thrilling concertgoers with a bevy of varied acts that mesh well in the festival-styled event. This year, The Roots will be joined by fellow headliners Gary Clark Jr., Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Grimes and the aforementioned Naughty By Nature.

Held on two stages, there’s space enough for other acts such as the legendary DJ Premier, Solange, Jennah Bell, The Gaslamp Killer and Robert Glasper.  Up and coming producers Hit-Boy and araabMUZIK will also get their chance to shine at the always packed show. Maintaining its typical theme of keeping the acts fresh as possible, eclectic producer How To Dress Well, funky duo Sonnymoon, and double threat MC and producer Lushlife will help to keep the scattered yet cohesive flow going.

Although the concert doesn’t take place until June 1, tickets go on sale this Friday January 25 at 10am at Ticketmaster and at the Live Nation Box Office in Philly. Tickets can also be purchased via phone at 800-745-3000. Get them quick, last year’s event sold out fast.
